SpaceX has cancelled today’s Starship Flight 10 launch and landing test due to technical issues. The Flight 10 scrub was announced just minutes before the flight countdown was expected to begin.

According to the last updates by SpaceX via X (Twitter), both the upper stage Starship 37 and 1st stage Super Heavy Booster 16 were going through propellant load.

However, after a few minutes of these updates, SpaceX announced that today’s launch is scrubbed because there are technical issues with ground systems.

“Standing down from today’s tenth flight of Starship to allow time to troubleshoot an issue with ground systems,” SpaceX wrote on X.

There was no live stream available on X minutes before this announcement, creating confusion among millions of fans and space enthusiasts about what was going on at Starbase. However, SpaceX made it clear that today’s launch window is not going to be attempted.

According to the flight schedule, SpaceX has reserved two more launch windows on 25th and 26th August (Monday and Tuesday).

Surprisingly, SpaceX didn’t show a single visual from Starbase before announcing a scrub for today. There was no live commentary; SpaceX informed the world of the Starship Flight 10 cancellation via a text post on X.

A few hours before the launch window (06:30 PM CT), the CEO and Chief Engineer of SpaceX, Elon Musk, was confident that the launch would happen today. “Starship 10 launching tonight,” he had posted on X.

A few minutes ago, as of this writing, Musk posted a sad emoji on X because of the Flight 10 launch scrub. “There are a several goals, but most important is launching,” he responded to a post asking about the goals of the tenth Starship launch test.

The technical issue was a ground side oxygen leak (probably in the propellant tanks).

Stay tuned as we will be back tomorrow for the live updates and live streams of Starship’s 10th flight if SpaceX announces tomorrow’s launch window is feasible for the test.
