Tesla hikes Model S and X prices but bundles FSD and premium features in the Luxe Package

After a long while, Tesla (TSLA) has increased the price of its flagship Model S luxury sedan and Model X luxury SUV. The automaker has raised the price of each variant of both of these electric vehicles by $10,000 (new price list below).

Tesla Model S and Model X sales have been declining for the last several quarters. However, the Q2 2025 vehicle delivery numbers showed that sales both of these EVs are even lower than expected.

In this scenario, Tesla has closed the Model S and X online car configurator in China, meaning that no customized orders are available in this market.

For the US market, the electric automaker has adopted a different strategy — offering perks to boost sales. The prices of the Model S and Model X have increased by $10,000 in the United States. However, both of these vehicles come with included perks like Full Self-Driving (FSD), free Supercharging for life, Premium Connectivity, and Premium Service, called the Luxe Package (details below).

Tesla raised the prices of Model S and Model X last year as well. Since then, the automaker has increased the prices of these vehicles twice, adding $20,000 to the prices over one year.
