To commemorate the legacy of its iconic cars and bid farewell to production, Tesla (TSLA) has launched a limited-edition Signature variant for both Model S and Model X.
These cars are iconic in that the Tesla Model S luxury sedan and Model X luxury SUV laid the foundation for a global electric vehicle revolution.
Model S was the first-ever production EV. The automaker launched it at a time when the world did not believe electric cars would survive in the automotive industry.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his team of designers, engineers, technicians, and workers proved everyone wrong. Today, Tesla is a 1 trillion-dollar market cap company, built on the legacy of Model S and Model X EVs.
Owning a Tesla Signature vehicle is a sense of entitlement, a feeling of exclusivity among the Tesla Community. Tesla used to offer Signature variants at the start of production, but this time it is the opposite.
Signature editions of the Tesla Model S and Model X are sold only to invite-only customers. The trend seen on X shows that Tesla is sending invites to its employees, Tesla influencers, and owners who have previously been loyal to the company.
If you’re one of the lucky invitees, keep an eye on your email inbox. Tesla is sending emails to its employees and customers who it deems eligible to buy Signature Model S and X at a premium price.

No Resale Agreement
At the time of purchasing a Signature Model S or Model X, Tesla requires you to sign a ‘No Resale Agreement’. This agreement restricts Signature Edition owners from selling these vehicles within the first year of ownership.
If, for any reason, you must sell the vehicle, you will need prior authorization from Tesla Signature Editions of the Model S and X. Failing to do so, Tesla would demand financial damages and might also refuse to sell you a Tesla vehicle in the future.
Following is the complete text of the agreement:
Signature Edition No Resale Agreement
You understand and acknowledge that the Signature Edition Model S and Model X (the “Vehicle”) are a limited release. As such, you agree that you will not sell or otherwise attempt to sell the Vehicle within the first year following your Vehicle’s delivery date.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you must sell the Vehicle within the first year following its delivery date for any unforeseen reason, and Tesla agrees that your reason warrants an exception to its no reseller policy, you agree to notify Tesla in writing and give Tesla reasonable time to purchase the Vehicle from you at its sole discretion and at the purchase price listed on your Final Price Sheet less $0.25/mile driven, reasonable wear and tear, and the cost to repair the Vehicle to Tesla’s Used Vehicle Cosmetic and Mechanical Standards.

If Tesla authorizes you to resell your Vehicle, but declines to purchase it, you may then resell your Vehicle to a third party only after receiving written consent from Tesla.
You agree that in the event you breach this provision, or Tesla has reasonable belief that you are about to breach this provision, Tesla may seek injunctive relief to prevent the transfer of title of the Vehicle or demand liquidated damages from you in the amount of $50,000 or the value received as consideration for the sale or transfer, whichever is greater.
Tesla may also refuse to sell you any future vehicles.
Signature Edition Model S and Model X Features and Specs
Model S and X Signature Edition cars are basically upgraded Plaid variants. Performance specs are the same as the Plaid versions.
Model X Signature comes with 303 miles of range, a 0-60 mph figure of 2.5 seconds, and a top speed of 163 mph.
For both Model S and X Signature Edition, Tesla has introduced a new Garnet Red paint. From the pictures (below), it looks like a darker version of the Midnight Cherry Red color.
