Tesla (TSLA) has rolled out another software update with a major branch version 2025.32. Before this version, firmware version 2025.26.7 was the last major update.

In the last few days, Tesla has sent major waves of the 2025.32 update to its customer cars globally.

As of this writing, more than 13% of the Tesla electric vehicle fleet has downloaded and installed the 2025.23 update (source: TeslaFi.com and Tessie.com). Although it looks like a small percentage, the automaker is deploying this update fast.

A new feature called the Low Battery Mode has been introduced in the Tesla over-the-air (OTA) update version 2025.32 (complete details below).

Tesla has improved the Dog Mode feature in this update and along with security improvements, performance upgrades, and bug fixes (read release notes).

Tesla Update 2025.32 Release Notes

Low Power Mode

It is critical to save your Tesla or any electric vehicle’s battery from draining completely. In the 2025.32 software update, Tesla has introduced a new Low Power Mode feature that saves as much battery percentage as possible when the vehicle is parked and its battery is low.

If there isn’t a significant external threat, you can save battery life by turning off the Sentry Mode while parking. If you have ample state of charge (SoC), the battery of a Tesla EV lasts for weeks while parked.

The official release notes of the 2025.32 update describe the new Low Power Mode Feature as:

Low Power Mode conserves energy while your vehicle is parked by disabling features that draw power. You can turn it on manually anytime for extended parking or configure the battery percentage for automatic activation.

Go to Controls > Charging > Low Power Mode.
