After about 7 months, SpaceX is once again ready to launch another Starship today in the Flight 12 test (IFT-12). SpaceX is officially streaming the webcast on X (video embedded below).

The Flight 12 Starship launch has been pushed forward one hour from its original schedule. SpaceX is now targeting 6:30 PM CT / 7:30 PM ET for Starship liftoff.
I am also going to be posting live text updates that you can read below as the main events happen.
Flight 12 is the first launch and landing test of the Starship V3 generation. I have labeled the fully stacked Starship V3 in the following image to understand the major components of the spacecraft. It will help you understand the live webcast as you get used to the terminology.

- SpaceX is targeting 6:30 PM CT / 7:30 PM ET for Starship liftoff
- SpaceX confirmed that propellant loading has begun on Flight 12 Starship
- Both upper and lower stages combined, Starship has the capacity to load 5,000 tonnes (11.5 million pounds) of propellant
- SpaceX plans to deploy twenty Starlink V3 dummy satellites in space during the Flight 12 test today (SpaceX achieved success with the payload operation in Flight 11 last year)
- In addition to the Starlink V3 simulators, SpaceX also plans to deploy two modified Starlink satellites (internally called Dodger Dogs)
- SpaceX does not plan to catch Booster 19 or the Starship 39 in today’s Flight 12 test
- Dodger Dog Starlinks serve as a testing platform between V2 and V3 satellites
- SpaceX is transitioning from a traditional radio frequency transmission for deep space communications to laser-linked satellites to relay information from the Moon to Earth and back, and also provide faster connections to Starlink terminals on Earth
- We’re at T-7 minutes into liftoff (7 mins remaining in launch)
- Starship is getting into the final phase of propellant load
- All ground systems and weather conditions look good for a go
- Flame-diverter on Pad 2 will activate 17 seconds before engines start (T -17 seconds)
- SpaceX will hold the counter at T -40 seconds to recheck all systems before liftoff
- T-1 minute
- T-40 second hold is in place to check that the Quick Disconnect vents are completely disconnected
- Ship 39 QD is still venting (plumes coming out of the QD Arm)
- Still holding at T-40 seconds
- This is the first V3 Starship and the new launch pad. SpaceX is just being extra cautious
- Still holding at T-40 for troubleshooting the issue causing the hold
- SpaceX teams are checking the propellant tank temperatures
- This is getting intense
- SpaceX wasn’t able to troubleshoot the issues within the time
- Flight 12 Starship launch is scrubbed (cancelled) for today
- SpaceX is going to attempt the IFT-12 test tomorrow if all systems are ok
- Today’s attempt turned out to be a wet dress rehearsal (propellant loading test)
