Tesla (TSLA) is unveiling the next-generation Roadster today. Watch the official live stream below and get the latest updates on the event and the vehicle.
The automaker has scheduled the live stream to start at 7:55 PM Central Time or 8:55 PM Eastern Time. The event is taking place at the SpaceX McGregor, Texas, rocket facility.

Tesla has set the stage, as shown in the photo above by Rob Maurer (Tesla Daily). The automaker also placed an original Tesla Roadster, a Lotus Elise, a Lotus Esprit amphibious car from the 007: The Spy Who Loved Me movie, and a Tesla Semi.
Sawyer Merritt has shared a short video clip from the location (watch below). A weird arch-type structure is visible behind the stage, but its purpose is unclear.
-Elon Musk: The Tesla Roadster will be the one Tesla car manually driven for the longest time in the future (It doesn’t have FSD and has a steering wheel).
The Electric Fan Car patent was actually for the next-gen Roadster. The demonstration was breathtaking. The car literally landed on the thrusters from the arched structure after sticking upside down on a slope.
-Elon Musk: This car takes the fun meter to 11 out of 10. This is not necessarily a safety-optimized car.
Tesla demonstrated a 0.81-second demonstration of the 0-60 mph acceleration time.
Tesla is going to start production of the next-gen Roadster in 2028 (tentative).
