The out-of-the-box stainless steel look of the Tesla Cybertruck is not for everyone. Many Cybertruck owners are inclined toward wrapping their EV pickup truck as soon as it arrives.
A Cybertruck owner from Tampa, Florida had plans for his truck before it even arrived. As soon as his top-of-the-line Cyberbeast arrived, he took it for a wrap. For the color, he already had an idea what to do.

@eriqbre on Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter), flaunted a few pictures of his Cybertruck after it was delivered and wrapped. The owner chose a unique metallic gloss red color called Obsidian Red.
The Obsidian Red vinyl wrap is a product by PURE PPF and was installed by The EV Studio in Tampa, FL. This is a customized color as I was not able to find the exact same color in PURE PPF’s online palette of Cybertruck wrap colors.

The owner of this Cyberbeast Cybertruck was generous enough to tell me the cost of the wrap on my request. The EV Studio wrapped his Cybertruck in Obsidian Red for $7,000. According to Eriq, he found this pricing to be competitive with other shops in the Tampa, FL area.
The owner also expressed his satisfaction over the wrap’s application to his Cybertruck. This specific red has been getting praise from almost everyone that looks at it online or offline. It received many positive responses on X (Twitter) as well.
According to PURE PPF, their Cybertruck vinyl wraps have the following benefits:
- Ultra-High Gloss Finish
- Self-Healing Topcoat Technology
- Stain Resistant & Hydrophobic
- 4x Thicker than Traditional Vinyl
- 7 Year Warranty
Tesla (TSLA) started offering official Cybertruck wraps in different colors earlier this year. However, aftermarket wraps are seemingly more popular among Tesla Cybertruck owners.
The automaker also had fun by mocking other truck brands like Ford and Toyota by wrapping Cybertruck prototypes as rival F-150 and Tundra pickup trucks.
Later on, some prototypes were wrapped in interesting patterns like Blue Pixels, and military-themed camouflage. But these wraps never made it to actual production.
