12th May has gone, but the car handover event for the Model S and Model X Signature did not take place. It was scheduled for yesterday at the Fremont factory, but Tesla delayed it for unknown reasons.
However, the automaker did reach out to the invitees via email, notifying them of the rescheduling of the event. Tesla is inviting owners of the Model S and Model X Signature and social media influencers to increase the reach of the event.
Instead of May 12, the Model S/X Signature Delivery Event will now take place on Wednesday, May 20. Tesla’s official email doesn’t reveal the reasons for the delay.
Old tickets and QR codes needed for entry to the event are now invalid. Tesla has sent new links to generate new QR codes and tickets (check your inbox if you were previously invited). Tesla has allowed plus-ones to attend the event along with the invitees.

The email reads (h/t @SawyerMerritt):
Confirm Your Attendance for May 20

SpaceX is launching Flight 12 Starship on Tuesday, May 19. The Starship launch is happening in Texas, and the Tesla Model S and X Signature Delivery Event is taking place in Fremont, California.
Looks like Elon Musk will have a very busy travel schedule next week. On Tuesday, he will attend the Starship launch in Texas, and on the next day, he will join Tesla owners and the enthusiast community in California.
