Tesla (TSLA) began scaling the release of its 2025 Spring Update earlier this week. Now, the automaker has finally started the wide release rollout of the OTA software update to its customers globally.

The initial version of the Spring Release update was 2025.14. During the initial rollout, Tesla faced minor issues and bugs. So, the latest stable version is 2025.14.1 (Release Notes are same as the main branch with some minor additions).

Interestingly, owners of older generation Model S, 3, X, and Y are also getting the feature-packed 2025.14.1 Spring Update. Tesla owners with the legacy Hardware 3 (HW3/AI3) processors are also reporting getting the update.

Matrix LED Adaptive Headlights in Action (videos)

To show how Tesla adaptive headlights work in the dark, the automaker posted the following video on X (Twitter). Tesla used pixel boxes that represent each LED unit inside the matrix headlights.

As the vehicle counters oncoming traffic, individual LEDs turn off according to the situation to reduce glare for oncoming drivers and other road users such as cyclists and bike riders.

After receiving the Spring Update version 2025.14.1, a Tesla owner also shared his experience with the adaptive headlights function in a video. To perform the adaptive headlights function, your Tesla vehicle should be equipped with the new Matrix LED Headlights.

HW4 Cameras Improvement in 2025.14.1

Although, not listed in the official release notes of the 2025.14.1 Tesla OTA software update, Tesla Model Y electric SUVs with HW4 hardware are showing improvements in camera views.

A Tesla owner showed the difference in the field of view (FOV) of an external camera on his Model Y (HW4) before and after installing the 2025.14.1 update. Tesla has significantly increased the FOV in this software update. The camera view now covers a larger view both horizontally and vertically.

Minor Fixes and Improvements

Tesla deployed the following minor fixes and improvements in the 2025.14.1 Spring Update point release.

  • When viewing a charger location page, nearby restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance are displayed at the bottom.
  • In your navigation settings, you can choose to show or hide chargers on the map that are not owned or serviced by Tesla.
  • Contact photos are now displayed for incoming calls and in the vehicle’s Phone app.
  • This update includes important security fixes and improvements.
