We have entered the 2025 Holiday Season, and Tesla’s software development team is getting ready to deploy this year’s Holiday Update.

Historically, Tesla’s Holiday Season Updates are released on a ‘.44’ point release. Tesla has rolled out the baseline version 2025.44 for this year’s Holiday Update (release notes below).

Tesla firmware version 2025.44 is not the Holiday Update. Tesla has also released a point release 2025.44.3 update after the initial rollout, which contains minor fixes.

As of this writing, around 50% of the Tesla global fleet of cars has received the 2025.44 and 2025.44.3 (data sources: TeslaFi.com and Tessie.com).

Tesla update 2025.44 brings Radio Traffic Announcements (Model 3 Highland / Europe), Dashcam Improvements, and a baseline for the 2025 Holiday Update.

Last year, Tesla released the 2024 Holiday Update around 10th December (dates vary by country). The electric vehicle-maker might also follow the same timeline this year.

As the base 2025.44 branch is out already, we expect the 2025 Holiday Update rollout to begin in about two weeks.

Tesla Update 2025.44 Features

Tesla update 2025.44 contains a limited number of new features. The Radio Traffic Announcements feature in this OTA update is very useful and interesting.

However, the Radio Traffic Announcements feature is currently limited to the Tesla Model 3 (Highland) in select European countries.

Tesla has also improved the dashcam video clips viewer app in the 2025.44 update. Dashcam clips are now arranged in a grid view to make it easier for the user to view and navigate through video clips.
