After getting a warm reception at the Doha airport by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the US President Donald Trump and Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk were escorted to the royal palace (Amiri Diwan).
The state protocol motorcade for President Trump was interestingly flanked by two Cybertrucks painted in red. These red Cybertruck units belong to Doha’s traffic police.
As the world’s richest person, owner, and CEO of multiple tech & AI businesses, Elon Musk joined President Trump on this visit. Qatari officials especially added two Cybertrucks to the official convoy (videos below).
Elon Musk and President Trump landed in Qatar yesterday after having a successful investment tour in Saudi Arabia the day before.

The footage of President Trump’s official convoy in Doha, Qatar, was broadcast on national television. Because of the presence of Elon Musk as the state guest, these two Cybertruck units were especially focused on during the video coverage of the historic event.
Interestingly, a red Audi led the convoy as the Cybertrucks flanked at the front. According to the locals of Doha, these Cybertruck units were imported and painted for the traffic police in December 2024.
The fiery red color of these Tesla Cybertrucks stands out as the sun shines with all its might on one of the hottest days of summer in Qatar.
Tesla hasn’t yet officially put Cybertruck on sale in Qatar, but the US-based electric vehicle maker launched it in Saudi Arabia last month.
Elon Musk met with high-level Qatari officials, including the Governor of the Qatar Central Bank. These meetings must bring positive outcomes for Musk’s companies, especially Tesla and SpaceX (Starlink). Hopefully, Cybertruck will be launched in Qatar soon.
