Tesla FSD Beta 10.69.3 is not just a point update release, it’s a major upgrade, says Elon Musk

Technoking of Tesla, Elon Musk promised last week that the next major FSD Beta update 10.69.3 will start to roll out next week. So, next week is half gone already, and it looks like he hasn’t forgotten about the anticipated over-the-air update.

In his latest tweet on this matter, Musk emphasized that this upcoming FSD Beta v10.69.3 is not just a subversion point update with minor improvements here and there. “Several major architectural upgrades in 10.69.3,” he tweeted.

By looking at the past FSD Beta release notes, “architectural upgrades” refers to upgrading Tesa Vision, Neural Net, AI, and upgrading the computing capability of the supercomputers handling all of this code and huge amounts of data.

“So it’s much more than a point release,” he further stated while answering the famous FSD Beta tester Chuck Cook who tests complex unprotected left turns (UPL) and provides useful data back to Tesla.

Earlier this month, Elon Musk also mentioned that FSD Beta 10.69.3 is going to be a major upgrade.

FSD Beta testers are eager to test the upcoming major release but it seems that Tesla is only going to release FSD Beta v10.69.3 this weekend to its employees for internal testing first.

FSD Beta 10.69.2.3 is the current version of Tesla’s self-driving beta software and despite improvements to it, testers have found many areas that need further refining.

In the following video, Tesla YouTuber AI DRIVR just recently performed an extensive test in various scenarios like a construction zone, parking lot, some roundabouts, false slowdowns (phantom braking), and more. Let’s watch how version 10.69.2.3 handles all these situations until we get to see the next 10.69.3.
