Earlier this month, a Tesla Cybertruck crashed into the popular Beverly Hills Hotel sign. The crashed Cybertruck was driven by the iconic hotel’s valet driver who perhaps underestimated the electric pickup truck’s acceleration.
This crash immediately caught the attention of mainstream media because a Cybertruck was involved in the incident. Despite the high-speed crash, the Cybertruck occupants were not harmed. Luckily, no pedestrians were hurt. According to ABC 7 News, no one was arrested in this crash as well.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk also responded to this crash. “Cyberbeast is faster than a Porsche 911, but looks like a truck, so perhaps the valet wasn’t expecting so much acceleration,” Musk posted on X (Twitter).
The pictures and videos of this Cybertruck (Tri-Motor Cyberbeast) showed that the truck jumped on the concrete landscaping curb. This impacted the Cybertruck’s front underbody the most. The crash resulted in the truck’s front wheels detaching from the vehicle.
The front suspension in modern vehicles is designed to disjoin the front wheels in a crash. This mechanism restricts the wheels from entering the vehicle’s cabin behind them. This saves the occupants from the impact of the wheels and improves their safety. The same thing happened in this Cybertruck crash.
The full-hard, cold-rolled, stainless-steel body panels are designed to absorb impact during a crash.
The front and rear underbody castings feature energy-absorbing ribs that help dissipate crash energy.

After a few weeks of this crash, the same Cybertruck was found at a car dealer workshop yesterday. This Dream Motor Cars showroom is around 4 miles away from The Beverly Hills Hotel located on Sunset Boulevard, California.
Redditor u/kursebear posted the following video of this crashed Cybertruck yesterday. The short video shows the detached wheels of the Cybertruck and the damage done to the wheel arches.
The right fender of the Tesla Cybertruck has detached from the underbody. The angular design of the Cybertruck has made it a sharp and pointy stainless steel object.
This is the first totaled customer Cybertruck from the early adopter’s Foundation Series (only 1,000 that are ever going to be produced). As the occupants were not harmed at all, Tesla again provides its par excellence safety ratings for the Cybertruck as well.
