Tesla (TSLA) started delivering the Foundation Series Cybertrucks to Canada earlier this month. However, these EV pickup trucks did not have Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) software unlocked.

After about 3 weeks since deliveries began, the US-based tech automaker started rolling out FSD to Cybertrucks in Canada yesterday.

Several Cybertruck owners from Canada shared their joy on receiving the Cybertruck FSD over-the-air (OTA) software update to their trucks.

Tesla is deploying FSD v12.5.5.3 (2024.39.5) to Canadian Cybertrucks. This is a subversion point release of the FSD v12.5.5 which Tesla rolled out to Cybertrucks in the United States last month.

The Cybertruck FSD v12.5.5.3 update includes the Vision-based Attention Monitoring with Sunglasses and End to End on Highway Autopilot features.

Cybertruck FSD software updates are slightly on a different branch compared to the rest of the vehicle lineup. Cybertruck FSD is running on version 12.5.5 and its sub-versions while other Teslas are on FSD v12.5.6 and FSD v12.5.4 and their sub-version point releases.

Looking at the Tesla firmware tracking data on TeslaFi.com, Tesla is quickly transitioning Cybertrucks from the previous version to the new FSD v12.5.5.3 in both the US and Canada.

The Cybertruck FSD v12.5.5.3 UI in the above screenshot shows two important features. Expanded Full Self-Driving Visualization which makes the FSD Autopilot drives much more fun by covering the entire screen.

The Automatic Speed Offset feature allows the Cybertruck to set the Speed Limit Offset to be above or below speed limit signs during FSD drives. FSD v12.5.5.3 (2024.39.5) includes two optionss Relative and Absolute (see screenshot above).
