Tesla (TSLA) started delivering Cybertrucks to customers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week on 21st January. This is the first time Tesa has shipped a fleet of Cybertruck units to the UAE.

The automaker began taking orders for the Cybertruck from the UAE in October 2025. After a few months, Tesla has finally started delivering its electric pickup truck in the Gulf country.

The UAE, and Dubai in particular, has been a hub for car enthusiasts. The customers and enthusiasts have been very pumped up to test the Tesla Cybertruck in the sands of the Dubai desert.

Pickup trucks and SUVs are pushed to their limits in Dubai as owners take their vehicles for a desert safari and extreme off-roading. In the coming weeks and months, we will witness some amazing Cybertruck stories coming out of the UAE.

According to a customer who was present at the Cybertruck delivery event, Tesla delivered from 70 to 100 Cybertrucks on the first day. The exact figure is not known as the automaker did not release any official information on this matter.

Last year, Tesla sold many Cybertruck units to the Musk-owned rocket and spaceship company SpaceX. The launch of the Cybertruck in the UAE was also quick, compared to historic launches for new vehicles.

Critics are citing these as desperate moves because Tesla is struggling with Cybertruck sales in North America. It did not contribute a significant number, even to last year’s Tesla vehicle deliveries.

With the UAE’s rich diaspora and the strong community of car adventure enthusiasts, Tesla must be expecting a reasonable amount of Cybertruck sales in the country, especially in Dubai.

Tesla Cybertruck is already a part of the Dubai Police fleet. The start of deliveries might also earnthe automaker some government contracts. Fuel emissions regulations might also have a positive impact on Cybertruck sales in the UAE in the future.
