Vandalized Cybertrucks in Florida have been cleaned off of graffiti — thanks to the stainless steel body of the Tesla truck

This past weekend, at the parking lot of Tesla’s Fort Lauderdale Service Center, an entire batch of 34 Cybertrucks were vandalized with spray paint.

Vandals freely used spray paint to express their vendetta against Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The graffiti on these Cybertrucks attached a bad word prefix with the CEO’s first name “Elon”.

These 34 Tesla Cybertrucks were parked in multiple rows in an empty space close to the automaker’s Fort Lauderdale, Florida Service Center. This is a rather insecure parking lot with minimum barriers and almost no security as explained by a local television channel WPLG Local 10.

This provided a perfect chance for Elon Musk haters to barge the Cybertruck lot and express their negative emotions. They were not only successful in vandalizing Tesla Cybertrucks but also achieved their goal — gaining the attention of the masses and the media coverage.

The total net worth of these Cybertrucks is in millions of dollars. The minimum price of the currently available Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series is close to $100,000 for the Dual-Motor AWD version. If we consider all of these were the AWD variants, it’s still an inventory worth $3.4 million at least.

The interesting thing to note here is that the vandals did not physically harm the Cybertrucks. All of the trucks were only spray-painted with an anti-Elon Musk slogan. This suggests that the people who vandalized the Cybertruck weren’t specifically against Tesla, they just wanted to express their hate towards Elon Musk.

Elon Musk has recently been getting much more hate on social media because of his political views and posts on his platform X (formerly Twitter). The Cybertruck’s vandalism is probably the result of Musk’s political comments since his acquisition of Twitter.

However, since the body of the Tesla Cybertrucks is made of 300 series cold-rolled and brushed stainless steel, the spray was cleaned off of the vandalized trucks. Because of the stainless steel body, it must have been much easier for the Tesla staff to wipe off the black spray paint writing on the Cybertrucks.

Tesla customers waiting to get their deliveries of the Cybertruck in Florida don’t need to worry about the vandalism. With no physical damages to the trucks and spray graffiti removed completely, these trucks will be handed over to their owners soon. After all, it has not been easy waiting for a long time for a chance to get your delivery and listening to such news. However, it has all been taken care of.

According to local media, the Fort Lauderdale Police is investigating the Cybertruck vandalism incident.
