It’s merely been a week since Tesla (TSLA) launched the new 2025 Model Y Juniper in the US and Canada. Within this short period of time, the automaker has sold out the entire inventory of the White Interior option in North America.
Tesla offered a new Glacier Blue color for the Model Y Juniper when it launched the vehicle in China and Asia Pacific last month. However, looking at the North American Model Y Launch Series configurator, Tesla does not offer the Glacier Blue paint option in the US & Canada.
Only 4 colors are available to choose from for the 2025 Model Y Launch Series in North America. These include Stealth Grey, Ultra Red, Pearl White Multi-Coat, and Quicksilver.

The non-availability of the new Glacier Blue color is most probably due to the paint shops not yet equipped with it at the Fremont, California and Giga Texas factories.
In my ~9 years of reporting on Tesla, I’ve probably seen the interior option being sold out and drained this fast for the first time. It’s just been a week since the Launch Series orders were opened and the ‘Black and White’ interior inventory has completely drained out.
The only option available now is the ‘All Black’ interior. This entirely blacked-out interior theme does not appeal to a majority of Tesla customers. The white seats, door trims, and dashboard comparably look more futuristic and catchy to the eyes.
Although the white seats of the ‘Black and White’ interior of Tesla vehicles tend to get dirty with jeans stains there are ways to clean it off. It’s just a trade-off for the spaceship-like feel that comes with the white interior elements.

The white interior option of the new Tesla Model Y Launch Series going out of stock is a sign that the automaker received an overwhelming number of orders with this specific trim. Tesla bagged more than 100,000 Model Y Juniper orders in less than 2 weeks in China and APAC last month.
The North American customer base was also waiting for the new design-refreshed Model Y to place their orders. Although the price of the 2025 Model Y Launch Series is on the higher side, the futuristic looks and dozens of improvements from the previous generation have resulted in its staggering sales.
The initial batch of the new Model Y is called the Launch Series. For entirely new vehicles introduced, Tesla uses the term Founders Series or Foundation Series.
