President Trump to buy a Tesla today to show support for Elon Musk and his company

Yesterday, 47th President of the United States of America Donald J. Trump posted on Truth Social that he’s going to buy a Tesla today.

This is an act of solidarity with Tesla CEO Elon Musk by the US President. Ever since Musk has taken charge of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), his electric vehicle manufacturing company is facing hate and vandalism.

Tesla (TSLA) stock price has been almost halved since it peaked to $479.86 on 17th December 2024 as Donald Trump’s victory in the elections and potential benefits to Musk’s automotive company were imminent.

As of this writing, on Tuesday 11th March 2025 (1:17 PM ET), a Tesla share is trading on NASDAQ at $227.20.

“Elon Musk is ‘putting it on the line’ in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social acknowledging the efforts and sacrifices of Elon Musk for the country.

Trump also endorsed Tesla as an American automaker in his social media post. Attacking the most American automotive company since Ford is beyond understanding. Tesla employs thousands of American people in every state that in-turn boosts the country’s economy.

Here’s Donald Trump’s complete post on this matter:

To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is “putting it on the line” in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s “baby,” in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for.

They tried to do it to me at the 2024 Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out? In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN???

Which Tesla is Donald Trump buying?

Most of the Tesla Community is suggesting that President Trump should buy a Cybertruck. Rumors on X (Twitter) also suggest that he has already bought a Cybertruck but there has been no official confirmation as of this writing.

Jeremy Judkins, a Tesla influencer on X, has claimed that Donald Trump has used his Referral Code to buy a new Tesla Cybertruck EV pickup truck. But again, there has been no official confirmation of this information.

Since President Trump already owns a Cybertruck gifted to him by Adin Ross during the election campaign, it would be great for him to get the latest Tesla Model Y Juniper electric SUV, IMO.
