47th President of the United States, Donald Trump was accompanied by Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk yesterday at the White House to choose his next Tesla EV.

Tesla sent an Ultra Red Model Y Juniper, a stainless steel Cybertruck without a wrap, Tesla Model S cars in Ultra Red and Deep Blue Metallic colors, and a Lunar Silver Model X electric SUV from President Trump to choose from.

This small fleet of cars was put on display at the White House. In the presence of mainstream media reporters and staff of the White House, Donald Trump chose the Ultra Red Tesla Model S Plaid.

Trump pointed at the red Tesla Model S and said “The one I like is that one, and I want the same color” (video below).

Interestingly, Donald Trump said that he’s going to pay Tesla for the car in an old-fashioned way using a check. A reporter asked about a vanity license plate, Trump replied that he’s going to say “TRUTH”.

Tesla Model S Plaid is the company’s flagship electric sedan with all the features the automaker offers. The Plaid variant does 0-60 mph in just under 2 seconds. Donald Trump chose the perfect car that offers both luxury and performance packed into a single unit.

Since Elon Musk started working as an advisor to President Trump and led efforts at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), he and his company Tesla (TSLA) are facing backlash from a group of people in the United States.

Tesla showrooms, offices, and vehicles are facing vandalism. The company that makes the most American-made cars in the United States is receving hate from the country’s own people.

President Trump offered to buy a Tesla vehicle in order to show his support for Elon Musk and Tesla which is one of the largest employers in the US. Donald Trump’s official account on X (Twitter) also shared the footage of the Tesla selection event held at the White House (videos below).
