Tesla (TSLA) began the rollout of its FSD v14.1.7 (firmware version 2025.38.8.7) just a few hours ago as of this writing. Interestingly, this new update expands the availability of FSD v14 for Cybertruck units.
The previous Cybertruck FSD v14.1.5 was limited to a few early access beta testers, mostly influencers. However, the new FSD v14.1.7 update is deployed to additional Tesla Cybertrucks in the US & Canada.
FSD v14.1.7 (2025.38.8.7) also merges the FSD v14 for Cybertruck and Hardware 4 (AI4) Tesla Model S, 3, X, and Y point releases into a single branch. Previously, Cybertruck was on v14.1.5, and the rest of the Tesla vehicle lineup was on FSD v14.1.4.

FSD v14.1.7 Rollout Status
After getting the initial data and test results from the previous FSD versions, Tesla is now rolling out FSD v14.1.7 (2025.38.8.7) to a larger group of Cybertruck owners.
The Tesla influencer and YouTuber group that owns the Cybertruck is getting the new FSD v14.1.7 update. However, this time, some general Cybertruck owners are also getting this new update.
The previous version was released to a handful of Cybertruck influencers. As of this writing, according to TeslaFi.com tracking stats, more than 200 Cybertrucks have either installed the FSD v14.1.7 update or are waiting to download it within 8 hours of its first deployment.
FSD v14.1.7 is an important update as it puts all Tesla vehicles on the same branch of FSD v14 and the firmware version. AI4 (HW4) Tesla Model S, 3, X, and Y are also receiving the update, but the Cybertruck seems to be the main focus of Tesla in this update.
Cybertruck owners who did not receive the FSD v14.1.7 update are rolled over to the next firmware update version 2025.38.9. Non-FSD and global fleet are also not going to get the FSD v14.1.7 point release OTA update.
Although Tesla is rolling out FSD v14.1.7 to more Tesla owners, it cannot be labeled as a wide release. According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, FSD v14.2 is going to be a wide release and make Tesla cars feel sentient.
A Tesla owner who got the FSD v14.1.7 (2025.38.8.7) on his Cybertruck responded to us on X with his first impressions, he said:
First v14 ride in the Cybertruck went well. 👍🏻 Mad Max mode is legit. Touchscreen to start FSD works great. It backed out of my garage, drove me to a taco place, and parked without me ever touching the wheel. 📐
