Model Y Performance starts appearing in Tesla showrooms in the US

Last month, Tesla (TSLA) launched the new Model Y Performance in the United States. Based on the 2nd generation Juniper platform, the new Model Y Performance boasts several design, engineering, and technological improvements over the previous version.

Compared to its lower-end Juniper variants, Tesla attempted to make the new Model Y Performance stand out in multiple ways. The performance-focused Tesla Model Y is unique in the lineup.

With a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph, Tesla Model Y Performance comes at a not-so-hefty price point of $57,490.

Tesla has been taking Model Y Performance orders in the United States for around two months. However, depending on your zip code, the delivery dates vary between December 2025 to January 2026.

Although the Model Y Performance delivery dates for customers are still a bit far, Tesla started to showcase this variant at multiple store locations across the US.

Model Y Performance on display in Tesla showrooms allows Tesla customers a chance to take a look at it in person before receiving delivery. This is by far the best-looking Tesla electric vehicle, IMO. The 21″ Arachnic 2.0 wheels also complement the overall design philosophy of the new Tesla Model Y Performance.

A Model Y Performance is currently on display at the Walnut Creek, California Tesla showroom (pictured above and below). This unit is in one of the best Tesla paint options, i.e., Quicksilver. Another Model Y Performance in Ultra Red color is featured at the Legacy West, Plano, Texas showroom (video below).

Tell us in the comments section below, which one do you like more, the Quicksilver or the Ultra Red?
