Tesla (TSLA) and its CEO, Elon Musk, have just announced on X that the company’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) is now approved in Denmark.

Denmark is the fourth European country to grant Tesla approval to use FSD on its public roads. The previous three countries were the Netherlands, Estonia, and Lithuania.

Tesla is getting its feet with the FSD AI self-driving software in Europe, one country at a time. The approval in Denmark doesn’t come from the main European Union regulators; it’s based on the Dutch RDW authority that originally approved it in the Netherlands.

Tesla has also started rolling out a new FSD software update version 14.2.2.6 in Europe with the firmware version 2026.17.5. Many Tesla owners in Europe with the new Hardware 4 (HW4/AI4) vehicles have confirmed the installation of the new FSD update (see first impressions and release notes below).

The automaker has announced that the FSD (Supervised) rollout will begin soon in Denmark. The Danish Tesla owners will directly get the new FSD v14.2.2.6 (2026.17.5) update on their cars.

The 2026.17.5 software update merges FSD v14.2.2.6 and the Spring Update features for Tesla owners in Europe.

Tesla FSD v14.2.2.6 (2026.17.5): Official Release Notes (Europe)

Under your supervision, FSD (Supervised) can drive your Tesla almost anywhere. It will start from a parked position, make lane changes, select forks to follow your navigation route, navigate around other vehicles and objects, make left and right turns, and stop at your destination. You and anyone you authorize must use additional caution and remain attentive. It does not make your vehicle autonomous. Do not become complacent.

FSD (Supervised) is enabled on your vehicle. To use the feature, first watch the tutorial and take the quiz, available in the new Self-Driving App or in Control > Self-Driving. Then press the Start FSD (Supervised) button on the UI, or press the right scroll wheel button once. You can disable FSD (Supervised) in Self-Driving Settings.

FSD v14.2.2.6 (2026.17.5) First Impressions

Although the new FSD v14.2.2.6 (2026.17.5) update is still on a limited scale rollout, several Tesla owners from Europe have shared their initial experiences after installing it.

Some users have noted improvements over the previous FSD v14.2.2.5. Tesla is running FSD v14.3.3 in North America. Europe has different driving conditions, roads, and many other variables, so the software stack is different for now.

Tesla owners also observed that the driver attention monitoring on FSD v14.2.2.6 is less strict in Europe compared to the previous version.
