Tesla (TSLA) has just started the rollout of FSD v14.3.3 with the firmware software version 2026.14.6.6. This new over-the-air (OTA) Full Self-Driving update started going out to a limited number of early access Tesla owners.

As of this writing, the rollout of FSD v14.3.3 (2026.14.6.6) started just a few hours ago. In this new point release of FSD (Supervised), the tech & AI automaker added four new bullet points in the release notes.

The added new features are interesting. The Tesla AI team has finally given some attention to the Actually Smart Summon feature in this update.

The other interesting bit in this update is the new data statistic Tesla has added to the screen. Tesla owners using Full Self-Driving (FSD) on their cars can now see how many miles the car has driven itself since the last human intervention (videos and details below).

FSD v14.3.3: Intervention-Free Live Statistics

You can now see distance traveled in FSD (Supervised) without an intervention. The Self-Driving App will also show your longest intervention-free streak.

Tesla FSD v14.3.3 users noticed that a new live counter has appeared on the center touchscreen UI. This is a live statistic that shows how many miles have been driven on Full Self-Driving since the last human intervention.

An intervention is counted when the human supervising FSD takes over the steering wheel, presses the brake pedal, or pushes the accelerator pedal to flee a traffic scenario for safety reasons.

Tesla introduced the Self-Driving Stats feature in FSD v14.2 last year. However, these were rather cumulative reports based on FSD and human driving data. With FSD v14.3.3, Tesla has now given a live counter that resets with each intervention.

Safety Concerns

As Sawyer Merritt posted the above short clip of the new live FSD intervention-free counter, another experienced Tesla FSD tester, Chuck Cook, viewed this feature from another angle.

Chuck thinks this feature could increase the safety risk for FSD-driven cars, as Tesla owners will try to drive as many miles without intervention as possible.

This feature is likely to result in fewer human interventions, which are currently required by law to operate FSD on Tesla cars. In my reply to Chuck, I tagged the Tesla AI team on X. We might get a response if Ashok or Elon takes notice.

Chuck wrote on X:

In my opinion, this incentivizes not disengaging when it might be necessary. Keeping an intervention free streak going is not important.

Driving safely is the most important. We are still supervising these vehicles. I implore everyone to not let this display, or keeping a streak alive push you into making a bad decision. Take care of yourself and those around you. Supervise safely.

Actually Smart Summon Improvements

Vehicles used in the Tesla Robotaxi Service use a different version of the FSD software. However, to improve the Actually Smart Summon feature, Tesla has merged the backend AI model of FSD and Robotaxi.

The release notes state:

Unified the model between Actually Smart Summon, FSD, and Robotaxi for more capable and reliable behavior.

Using the Summon feature, Tesla owners can call their cars to them in a parking lot or pull them out of the garage/driveway without sitting in the vehicle. These are some basic uses of Tesla’s Actually Smart Summon.

The improvement to its backend system has increased the reliability of this feature, which has resulted in an increase in Summon’s max speed from 6 mph (~10 km/h) to 8 mph (13 km/h).

Since the FSD v14.3.3 (2026.14.6.6) update is still fresh and not widely available, we will share reviews of Actually Smart Summon in a later post.

FSD v14.3.3 (2026.14.6.6) Official Release Notes

Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.3.3 includes:

  • Upgraded the Reinforcement Learning (RL) stage of training the FSD neural network, resulting in improvements in a wide variety of driving scenarios.
  • Upgraded the neural network vision encoder, improving understanding in rare and low-visibility scenarios, strengthening 3D geometry understanding, and expanding traffic sign understanding.
  • Rewrote the AI compiler and runtime from the ground up with MLIR2, resulting in 20% faster reaction time and improving model iteration speed.
  • Mitigated unnecessary lane biasing and minor tailgating behaviors.
  • Increased decisiveness of parking spot selection and maneuvering.
  • Improved parking location pin prediction, now shown on a map with a (P) icon.
  • Enhanced response to emergency vehicles, school buses, right-of-way violators, and other rare vehicles.
  • Improved handling of small animals by focusing RL1 training on harder examples and adding rewards for better proactive safety.
  • Improved traffic light handling at complex intersections with compound lights, curved roads, and yellow light stopping – driven by training on hard RL examples sourced from the Tesla fleet.
  • Improved handling for rare and unusual objects extending, hanging, or leaning into the vehicle path by sourcing infrequent events from the fleet.
  • Improved handling of temporary system degradations by maintaining control and automatically recovering without driver intervention, reducing unnecessary disengagements.
  • Unified the model between Actually Smart Summon, FSD, and Robotaxi for more capable and reliable behavior. new
  • Actually Smart Summon max speed is now increased to 8mph (13km/h). new
  • Help Tesla improve Self-Driving by selecting an intervention reason on the main screen after taking over. new
  • You can now see distance traveled in FSD (Supervised) without an intervention. The Self-Driving App will also show your longest intervention-free streak. new
