Tesla’s FSD AI Head, Ashok Elluswamy, posted on X that the latest FSD v14 Lite with firmware version 2026.20.6.10 is expected to go wide release.

In our previous report, we published that despite good reviews, Tesla isn’t pushing a wide release of the FSD v14 Lite (2026.20.5.1) update. This point release was the first installment of the distilled version of FSD v14 for the legacy Hardware 3 (HW3/AI3) Tesla cars.

Tesla owners started receiving the new FSD v14 Lite (2026.20.6.10) earlier this morning (first spotted on July 20). Although the release notes for this new update remain the same, Tesla has added some new UI features like self-driving stats and an intervention-free streak counter, etc.

Interestingly, the current rollout of the FSD v14 Lite (2026.20.6.10) is going out to a limited number of early access group members, mostly belonging to the influencer community on X and YouTube.

Tesla hasn’t given FSD v14 Lite its own version number like its fully-featured variant for HW4/AI4 cars; you have to recognize it by the firmware version number. The automaker has also added the Arrival Options parking choices in the 2026.20.6.10 FSD v14 Lite.

Early users have noted noticeable improvements in the 2026.20.6.10 FSD v14 Lite update in the following areas:

  • Curbside pull-over
  • Improvement observed in highway driving and left-lane camping
  • Takes high-speed curves with ease compared to the FSD v12.6.4
  • Feels slightly more confident in city street driving
  • “They definitely improved the way it leaves stop signs and lights though, slightly more linear and smooth acceleration from a stop. Obeyed both no right on red signs I encountered too. Dips and speed bump speed is perfect as it was before too. Most importantly, FSD v14 Lite feels so much safer than v12.6.4,” Zack wrote in his review.
  • Needs improvement in parking (AI4 FSD v14 too :D)

Official Release Notes: FSD (Supervised) v14 Lite (2026.20.6.10 for HW3 Tesla cars)

FSD (Supervised) v14 Lite (2026.20.6.10) includes:

  • Distilled the intelligence from HW4 V14 into HW3. This allows HW3 to directly learn how to handle scenarios using HW4 V14 as a guide. This process unlocks the improvements that have been made to HW4 including Reinforcement Learning (RL) and offline models for HW3.
  • Improved both proactive and reactive responsiveness across a wide variety of categories including navigation handling, merges and forks, pedestrian interactions, traffic lights, and vehicle cut-in scenarios.
  • Improved general comfort in nominal scenarios through fewer false slowdowns, smoother steering and more consistent lane centering.
  • Introduced parking, unparking, and reversing capabilities.
  • Added Arrival options for you to select where FSD should park: in a Parking Lot, on the Street, in a Driveway, or at the Curbside.
  • Speed Profiles are now available at all times, to further customize driving style preferences.
