Tesla (TSLA) has once again increased the prices of its electric cars, actually, for the 4th time this year so far. Although this is not as big of a price hike that occurred earlier in March, still, the price increased from $2,000 to $6,000 on different variants across the lineup.
However, the prices of some lucky variants has not been increased by the electric automaker (old vs. new price lists below). Tesla customers who have already placed an order, have their prices locked, so the new prices will be implemented to orders placed on or after 16th June 2022.
The base Tesla Model X AWD has been hit the worst in this price raise with a $6K increase, after that the base Tesla Model S AWD received a $5K price bump in a single go.
Tesla Model 3 New Prices
The good news for potential Tesla Model 3 future owners is that the price of the base variant of this car has not been increased, it stays at $46,990 for now.
The only variant of Tesla Model 3 affected by this unexpected price raise is the Long Range AWD with a $2,000 increase, it now costs $57,990. With 334 miles of range and the fun and traction of an all-wheel drive, this variant brought the best of both worlds — the range and performance — but it has now become a bit expensive to afford.

Tesla Model Y New Prices
The price of both variants displayed in the Tesla online car configurator has been increased. The Long Range AWD Model Y got $3,000 added to its starting price and the top-end Performance variant received a $2,000 increase.

- Tesla Model Y Performance = $69,990 (previous: $67,990)
Tesla is producing a limited number of the new Model Y Standard AWD at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas but the automaker hasn’t started offering it publicly.
Some Tesla customers with the pre-orders for a Long Range AWD Model Y have reported that Tesla has privately offered them the new Model Y Standard AWD which also has the new 4680 form factor battery cells but it has a 279 miles of range.
The price of this new Model Y Standard AWD is $59,990. Interestingly, Tesla has broken the pricing of this new variant as $39,990 for the vehicle and $20,000 for All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Perhaps the electric automaker also plans to introduce a cheaper Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) Standard Range Model Y variant later on at some point which might be significantly cheaper than the currently available versions.
Tesla Model S New Prices
Tesla Model S Plaid is one of lucky variants that did not get a price increase in this revision by the automaker. But the base Tesla Model S Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive has got a $5,000 bump in its price.

Tesla Model X New Prices
The Plaid variant of the Tesla Model X as well did not receive a price increase but its base variant got a $6,000 price hike, highest of any Tesla vehicle in this round.

- Tesla Model X AWD = $120,990 (previous: 114,990)
- Tesla Model X Plaid Tri-Motor AWD = $138,990 (unchanged)
Global inflation, chip shortages, and other supply chain issues have pushed Tesla to increase vehicle prices so frequently, not to forget the high demand for Tesla EVs has also a major role to play in creating this situation.
Tesla has just recently switched to Hankook tires from the Michelin brand for the Model 3 to cope with supply chain issues.
