Tesla CEO Elon Musk has just announced that he is headed to Germany this week for reasons none other than the Gigafactory Berlin and the developments happening at CureVac’s RNA research.

He announced this last night during a round of tweets he posted to keep in touch with the Tesla and SpaceX community. By looking at the recent location of his private jet, it is confirmed that he has already landed the United Kingdom.

Update: Elon Musk is now in Germany, get the complete details of his activities till Sep 2.

Giga Berlin

While Gigafactory Austin development has just started, the construction of Gigafactory Berlin has truly taken off.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, Elon Musk has not been able to visit Gigafactory Berlin since he broke the news in Germany last year. Now the German Tesla enthusiasts and Elon Musk fans are super excited that he is finally coming to check the Giga Berlin progress.

According to the local Gigafactory Berlin observers, a German building materials company CEMEX Deutschland AG has set up their concrete mixing (cement) plant at the Gigafactory which will mostly produce the material for the factory’s floors.

Gigafactory Berlin’s latest drone footage by Tobias Lindh shows speedy development on the ground, especially the paint shop construction has significantly progressed.

A few days ago a tent was set up at the Giga Berlin construction site. Tents have become a Tesla symbol since the Model 3 production days where entire production lines were set under the tents at the Tesla Fremont factory due to lack of space and time.

However, according to sources, this new tent at Giga Berlin is there for the workforce to enjoy lunches and break time.

Elon Musk‘s visit to Gigafactory Berlin will definitely accelerate the pace of the development at the site as the Tesla workforce will get their fair share of motivation and inspiration from his presence.

CureVac RNA Printers

Tesla and CureVac which is a Germany based biopharmaceutical company have partnered to bring the next-gen vaccines to fight the viruses such as the recent COVID-19.

Although Musk never revealed too much about this project but has previously said that Tesla is building RNA micro-factories for CureVac and not just limited to this specific company, there are possibly other partners as well globally.

In light of Elon Musk and his team’s recent discussions with Harvard’s Department of Epidemiology, he has realized that RNA sequencing coupled with high-speed printing can be helpful in bringing vaccines & cures for several diseases.

Hopefully, Elon Musk breaks some ground in this project as well to further help humanity in their survival against new and dangerous diseases with a potential of becoming a pandemic.
