On the day of Black Friday and the following weekend, a massive number of Canadians chose to see the Cybertruck in person instead of going shopping first.
A large number of people are daily waiting in line outside the Tesla Store in Langley, British Columbia, Canada to get a glance at their dream electric pickup truck — live for the first time.
Tesla Cybertruck enthusiasts, fans, and reservation holders are sharing intense scenes of massive crowds waiting outside Tesla’s BC, Canada showroom on social media. Tesla has sent only one Cybertruck to Canada. And currently, it’s available to view at this Tesla Store only in the entire country.
The units that Tesla is sending to showrooms are actually production Cybertrucks and their build quality is “immaculate” (confirmed by Tesla staff and Elon Musk shared our last Cybertruck report on X as well). The Cybertruck on display at Langley BC, Canada has the same superior build quality and perfect panel gaps — a rare trait for an early production Tesla vehicle.
Tesla has been criticized for the poor build quality of early production cars in the past. But this time with the Cybertruck, Tesla seems to make a paradigm shift and change the company’s image overall.
Tesla has now more than 10 years of production and manufacturing experience. The automaker seems to have learned more in these 10+ years about car manufacturing than traditional automakers have apparently in the past 100 years (that’s why they’re called legacy automakers).
And not just in Canada, Tesla showrooms and stores in the United States are also getting rushed with people who want to see the Cybertruck themselves. Some of these viewers have already seen the Cybertruck at events like the Cyber Rodeo and the company’s annual Shareholder Meetings, etc. Looking at the production/customer delivery Cybertrucks after the previous prototypes is an amazing experience according to these persons as the build quality and fit and finish have increased dramatically.
Tesla influencer and retail investor @Ray4Tesla expressed his views on X (Twitter) after viewing the at a Tesla showroom and compared it to his previous experience with the vehicle’s build quality. Ray wrote:
Today I went to Tesla store in Buena Park, CA to check out Cybertruck. This is 3rd time to have close observation of this vehicle. 1st time at the unveil event 4 years ago. 2nd time at Petersen Automotive Museum.
I can honestly tell you the build quality is amazing even though it’s so hard to build for the obvious reasons. All panels are evenly aligned and flush. Attention to details is noticeable everywhere. If I have to cherry pick, there is 1 or 2 very minor defects which are hardly noticeable even when you look at it close by.
I spent a good amount of time there and saw people keep coming to check it out. This Tesla store & service used to be an ICE dealership off I-5 & 91 freeways. I wish Cybertruck were displayed at another nearby Tesla Store inside Brea Mall (facing Apple Store). That would attract a lot more foot traffic.
According to the latest stats by the Cybertruck location tracker at abettertheater.com, currently, 14 Tesla showrooms in the United States have the Cybertruck on display and 7 more showrooms are rumored to get it soon.
