Elon Musk’s Boring Company which makes tunnels shared a picture of the Cybertruck on X. But this picture is unique, a Cybertruck inside a Boring Company tunnel.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, Cybertruck standing inside a tunnel tells an entire story. Earlier this month, Tesla (TSLA) paused Cybertruck production at Giga Texas. We reported that it’s due to the construction of a tunnel not a demand problem as the mainstream media portrayed.
Around 2 weeks later, Tesla and The Boring Company officially shared a glimpse of the inside of the Cybertruck tunnel. The automaker is calling it the “Cybertruck Birthing Tunnel” or “Cybertunnel” in short.
There’s a reason that it’s called the birthing tunnel of the Cybertruck. The entrance of this tunnel opens in the Cybertruck production area at Giga Texas and the exit opens at the outbound lot. After its completion and inauguration, new Cybertrucks will be directly delivered to the outbound lot to be loaded on vehicle transport trailers to be shipped to their destinations.
The Cybertrunnel will reduce the time and effort it takes to put finished Cybertruck units from the assembly line to outside the factory. The Cybertunnel will streamline the production to delivery process as Tesla is producing a large number of Cybertrucks at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas.
Giga Texas local observer Joe Tegtmeyer showed us the footage of the Cybertunnel’s exit point (video below).
According to Joe, Tesla and The Boring Company teams are working hard to complete the Cybertruck tunnel’s exit before Christmas so that the inauguration can take place ahead of the holidays.
