Tesla (TSLA) received more than 100,000 Model Y Juniper in the first two weeks of its launch in China, Asia, Australia & New Zealand.

Initial reactions to the looks of the new design-refreshed 2025 Tesla Model Y Juniper were polarizing. At least the North American Tesla fan base was a bit reluctant to praise it because of similarities with the Cybercab robotaxi design.

Interestingly, in China, the Tesla Model Y Juniper seems to have awe-struck the Chinese audience and in the markets it’s currently available in. Soon after Giga Shanghai, Tesla also began production of the new Model Y at Giga Berlin, the automaker’s car factory in Germany.

Last week, pictures of Tesla Model Y Juniper electric vehicles surfaced on social media outlets like Reddit and X (Twitter). Tesla started shipping the new Model Y to its stores and showrooms across China.

In the press photos Tesla released at the time of launch, the Model Y Juniper refresh didn’t look very impressive. However, some real-life photos and videos of the vehicle show its actual appeal. I particularly liked the Pearl White Multi-Coat color we can see in the picture above and video below.

Tesla has also introduced the new Glacier Blue color for 2025 Model Y Juniper. You can see a few real-life glimpses of this new color in a video below that shows a sighting of a car carrier trailer delivering Tesla’s new electric SUVs.

The latest order numbers shared by Chinese Tesla Model Y Juniper customers show that Tesla has received more than 100K orders of the new Model Y since its launch earlier this month.

According to reports from local observers of Tesla in China, the electric vehicle automaker will start customer deliveries of the new Model Y Juniper in China soon.

Tesla has significantly modernized the looks of the new Model Y Juniper EV SUV. The US-based automaker followed the new design language introduced in the Cybertruck and later observed in the Cybercab.

By the looks of it, Tesla made the new Model Y design to cater to the Chinese market and so far the idea has succeeded. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
