As the Christmas holidays approach this year, Elon Musk’s electric carmaker, Tesla (TSLA), is finalizing its 2025 Holiday Update software release.

In the US & Canada, there are two major categories of vehicles: those with the FSD v14 installed, and the other group that is still running the older versions of Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) AI, or doesn’t have it on their cars at all.

The first group with the FSD v14 on their vehicles is now receiving the latest update, i.e., FSD v14.2.1.25, with firmware version 2025.44.25.5. This update includes the 2025 Holiday Update features along with the most recent version of FSD.

The 2nd group, which is in the majority, is still running FSD v12.6.4, and FSD v13.2.9 is getting the latest Holiday Update version 2025.44.25.3. These cars mainly consist of the legacy HW3/AI3 computer and haven’t been updated to the latest version of FSD due to technical reasons.
