Tesla (TSLA) rolled out another FSD v14 point release a couple of days ago. The latest version is FSD v14.2.2.4 with the firmware version 2025.45.9.

The automaker is currently expanding the circle of FSD v14.2.2.4 users in the United States and Canada. Most of these users are upgrading from the previous FSD v14.2.2.3 update.

According to the FSD software-tracking statistical data from TeslaFi.com and Tessie.com, around 3% of the Tesla FSD-enabled fleet has received the new FSD v14.2.2.4 update.

Tesla is still deploying subversion point releases of FSD v14 around the end of Jan 2026. The tech & AI-based automaker is preparing for a subscription-only FSD plan from February. We should expect a new major version release after this transition.

FSD v14.2.2.4 First Impressions

Since the weather in most areas is extremely cold nowadays, FSD (Supervised) users are testing the FSD v14.2.2.4 update in snowy and slippery road conditions.

Driving in these difficult road conditions and extreme weather is difficult even for most humans. So, this is a great challenge Tesla Full Self-Driving has to tackle on its own.

Tesla influencer, Sawyer Merritt, took his 2026 Model Y Juniper running FSD v14.2.2.4 on a snowy road. Interestingly, the car quickly handled the slippery roads and corrected its path on its own.

“FSD is really good at counter-steering when it starts to slide in snow or icy conditions, I’ve noticed,” Sawyer said in the following first-impressions testing video.

A Tesla owner from Canada did not have a good experience with FSD v14.2.2.4 with navigation. However, this has been a lingering issue in FSD v14. Tesla AI team should be working to fix it, and hopefully, we should observe it getting better in the near future.
