European Tesla owners drove 10 million kilometers on FSD in just one month, test videos and reviews

It’s been around a month since Tesla first deployed Full Self-Driving v14 in Europe. The first country to approve FSD (Supervised) is the Netherlands.

Tesla (TSLA) has reported that since the first rollout, Tesla owners in the Netherlands have driven 10 million kilometers on FSD. Europe uses kilometers instead of miles. So, Tesla FSD has accumulated more than 6.2 million miles of data just from the Netherlands in one month.

The automaker announced these numbers in an exciting post on CEO Elon Musk’s social media platform, X. Tesla wrote:

Tesla owners in the Netherlands have driven 10 million km on FSD Supervised in under a month! Thank you for making Dutch roads safer.

The massive number of miles driven on Tesla FSD suggests a strong interest in autonomous driving tech from the European Tesla owners and car enthusiasts in general.

The self-driving data gathered from 10 million kilometers (6.2M miles) is a massive piece of information that helps train Tesla FSD neural networks to improve safety for both the vehicle and external road users.

Interestingly, with the €99/month subscription option, Tesla owners can try Tesla Full Self-Driving for a short period. European users can still buy FSD for a one-time payment of €7,500.

During the Q1 2026 Earnings Call, Tesla disclosed that the number of paid FSD users globally has reached 1.3 million users. The majority of these are subscription-based users. Despite discontinuation in some markets, the outright purchase of FSD increases 7% in the first quarter.

Tesla CFO, Vaibhav Taneja, also hinted during the call that the wide approval of FSD in Europe would come around Q3 2026.

FSD Europe Testing Reviews

Until now, only Dutch Tesla owners can use FSD on their vehicles. However, members of the Tesla enthusiasts community from other parts of Europe are also heading to the Netherlands to join their friends in testing the system.

One of those is my old-time Tesla friend Steven Peeters from Belgium. He went to Amsterdam last month to test FSD on the streets of the famous Dutch city. Now he’s back in the Netherlands once again for testing.

During one FSD drive, Steven and his friend experience a unique situation. Tesla FSD (Supervised) anticipated a vehicle coming from behind the tree ahead. The humans in the car were first surprised when FSD stopped the car, but moments later realized that it had sensed a car coming from behind the tree (video below).

Tesla FSD’s situational awareness in varying traffic conditions is already exceeding human capabilities. And a surround view with the help of 8 external cameras puts it ahead of human drivers.

Another Dutch FSD user shared the dashcam video recording of an incident, as a vehicle from the side swerved into his car. Tesla FSD reacted in time to avoid a collision. He wrote on X:

A blue car swerves into my lane. FSD sees it. Shifts left. Crash avoided. The driver gives me a sorry wave.

Then, without hesitation -> back to the original lane. I never touched the wheel. But I was watching every second.

The car reacted faster than I ever could. That’s not a feature. That’s trust.
