After remaining stable for a while, Tesla Model Y prices have been increased once again. The automaker raised the prices of the Premium trims of the Model Y by $1,000 in the US today.

There are two variants available with the Premium tag. The first is the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) version, and the other is the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) trim.

With the addition of $1K, the price of the Tesla Model Y Premium RWD is now $45,990. One step above, the Tesla Model Y Premium AWD now comes at a price tag of $49,990.

Earlier this year, Tesla (TSLA) launched two base variants of the Model Y to achieve cost efficiency and practicality. The prices of these base variants remained the same. However, the price of the top-end Tesla Model Y Performance increased by $500 in this price shuffle (see the complete price table below).

Tesla Model Y Premium RWD variant comes with the highest EPA estimated range figure of 357 miles (~575 km). If you opt for the Premium AWD trim, the range drops to 327 miles (~526 km).

Interior and exterior options are the same for both vehicles, except the Model Y Premium AWD comes with an optional 3rd-row 7-seat interior for $2,500 extra. However, it’s not as roomy as the Model Y L available in China and some other countries.

Interestingly, the new Marine Blue color is also available on both Model Y Premium trims. The Frost Blue Metallic paint is only available on the Tesla Model Y Performance.

Most likely, the $1K price increase in Premium Model Y variants is driven by higher demand. Due to tariff conflicts, Canada is not offering the US-made Model Y electric SUVs. These specific variants are only available in the United States.

Due to Chinese imports and low tariffs of around 6.1%, the Tesla Model Y is the cheapest in Canada.
