Tesla launches new Cybertruck Tactical Grey interior and 20″ Core Wheels

Tesla (TSLA) silently added two new options in the Cybertruck configurator. A new grey interior color option called the Tactical Grey Décor and a new aero wheel design named Core Wheels.

The automaker launched these two new design options only for the Foundation Series Cybertruck customers yesterday. Foundation Series Cybertrucks cost an additional $20K and come with some extra perks and accessories as well.

Getting an early delivery most probably in 2024 is the best benefit of ordering a Foundation Series Cybertruck. Non-Foundation Series Cybertruck orders currently have no definite delivery timeline. To get an early delivery of the Cybertruck, a significant fraction of Tesla customers are opting to get the Foundation Series (either Dual-Motor AWD or Tri-Motor Cyberbeast).

Tesla customers who already have a Foundation Series Cybertruck order in place and haven’t been issued a VIN yet can edit their order to choose the new Tactical Grey Décor and 20″ Core Wheels.

Now Tesla has added two more optional features for the early adopters willing to pay the extra amount for the Foundation Series.

Tactical Grey Interior

The default Cybertruck interior is a combination of white dashboard and door panel trims coupled with seats, the center console, and other elements in black color.

Tesla introduced the new Tactical Grey interior trim option to offer a choice for customers who prefer a darker color theme inside a vehicle’s cabin. As the name suggests, Tesla has colored the white dashboard and door panels in a specific shade of grey.

Tesla calls this shade of grey ‘Tactical’ for a reason — it sounds closer to the apocalypse era which the Cybertruck is ultimately made for (as per Technoking Elon Musk).

Let’s compare the new Tactical Grey and the original White Cybertruck interior by looking at the photos below.

Cybertruck 20-in Core Wheels and Covers

The new 20″ Core Wheels for the Cybertruck Foundation Series don’t just add a new design — the range efficiency and comfort of the electric pickup truck.

According to the numbers displayed on the Cybertruck configurator, with the Core Wheels, the Dual-Motor AWD variant delivers up to 340 miles of range while the top-tier Cyberbeast boasts an estimated 320 miles of range.

Cybertruck Core Wheels come with 35″ all-season tires. Tesla says these wheels and tires deliver comfort and efficiency in any weather condition.

Tesla owners and influencers shared the following pictures from the Cybertruck configurator (it’s not public yet). Sawyer Merritt also shared an animated gif giving us a visual comparison of the differences between the new Cybertruck Core Wheels and the original Aero Wheel Covers.
