Tesla (TSLA) offers new buyers of its Model S luxury electric sedan and Model X SUV a 3-year FSD Supervised bundle for $5,000.

The automaker has bundled this 3-year FSD subscription offer with Free Supercharging and Premium Connectivity. All three of these facilities can be availed for a period of 3 years by selecting the offer at the time of Model S/X purchase.

When placing a Model S or Model X order through the official online car configurator, scroll down to the Full Self-Driving (Supervised)/Autopilot section which shows the 3-year bundle offer.

If a customer purchases the Full Self-Driving software package for life, it costs $8,000 alone. With the 3-year package, it just costs $5,000 and it adds Premium Connectivity and free Supercharging as well.

3 years of free Supercharging on an extensive charging network of Tesla Superchargers across North America gives Tesla owners peace of mind on long journeys. It also adds convenience with faster charging on short trips during city driving.

Buying only the $8K FSD package binds it to the vehicle for life. Tesla rarely allows an owner to transfer the Full Self-Driving package from one Tesla vehicle to another. It also does not have free Supercharging and Premium Connectivity.

Premium Connectivity adds some premium infotainment features like YouTube and Amazon Music apps, satellite-view maps, weather forecasts (added in the new 2024.26 update)and more.

Purchasing the 3-year plan doesn’t bind the FSD package to a car for life. According to a study, around 64% of Americans keep their cars for 5 years or less. This makes it a perfect deal. It’s possible to offset most of the charging cost of the vehicle in 3 years by using Tesla Superchargers for the majority of the time. This alone will result in fuel cost savings of more than $5,000.

Tesla hasn’t introduced this offer for Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. Only new buyers of the Model S and Model X will be able to choose this option. However, Tesla introduced a 3-month free Supercharging offer on Independence Day last month, you can get it before it expires on 15th August.
