Tesla (TSLA) AI Head Ashok Elluswamy promised the Cybertruck Autopark feature to be deployed on the weekend. The automaker also included this milestone in its FSD roadmap for September feature releases.

I tagged Ashok and @Tesla_AI on X to ask for an update on the release of this feature as Saturday passed by and there was no sign of it on any Cybertruck. I didn’t get an official response from Tesla but interestingly, Cybertruck Autopark has started going out to non-employee owners.

Early access FSD beta tester Chuck Cook is the first to report getting the Cybertruck Vision Autopark OTA update version 2024.32.5 on his truck a few hours before this writing (around Sunday evening Florida time). Tesla’s promise came just before the weekend concluded (release notes below).

Just last month, Tesla pushed the Tesla Vision Park Assist feature to Cybertruck owners in over-the-air (OTA) update version 2024.26.11. This was a park assist feature based on Tesla Vision AI but not autonomous self-parking.

The latest Vision Autopark feature deployed in the 2024.32.5 update enables Tesla Cybertruck to park automatically in a parking lot. In the above screenshot, we can see that the empty parking space shows a P symbol and a rectangle in driving visualizations. Cybertruck Vision Autopark also includes the parallel parking function as well.

Tesla OTA update version 2024.32.5 for the Cybertruck started going out just a few hours before this writing. So, there is currently no report on the TeslaFi.com software tracking website of this update being installed on a Cybertruck yet. Tesla is most probably going to go the cautious route and give it to early testers and YouTubers first.

Update: Head of Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamy comments on the Cybertruck Vision Autopark.

Cybertruck Vision Autopark 2024.32.5 Official Tesla Release Notes

Your vehicle can now automatically park — and parallel park — in designated spaces. When you’re driving at low speed, your display highlights potential parking spaces. Autopark shows a square P symbol to suggest a space, but you can choose any highlighted space.

To start parking, stop the vehicle, press Start, and release the steering wheel so it can move freely. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for more details.

As with all Autopilot features, you must continue to pay attention and be ready to take immediate action including canceling Autopark by pressing the brake or taking control of the steering.
