Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has started rolling out the FSD v14.2.2.3 update (firmware version 2025.48.5). This is a minor subversion point release update to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) v14 AI software.
FSD v14.2.2.3 is the first FSD update that the automaker has released in 2026. However, the firmware number is still starting with 2025, as the development must have begun on this version around the end of last year.
As of this writing, the rollout of FSD v14.2.2.3 is limited to around 1.2% of the Tesla fleet in North America (data sources: TeslaFi.com and Tessie.com).
Most of the early access group members have received this latest FSD software update. Some Tesla owners, who are not a part of this circle, have also received this update.

As the FSD v14.2.2.3 update is still new and currently expanding, testing data is limited. However, some very early impressions suggest that the build has improvements, but some quirks still exist, carried forward from previous builds.
Experienced Tesla FSD beta tester and influencer, Chuck Cook, posted his thoughts on X as follows:
It looks like a new wave of FSD v14.2.2.3 is rolling out. It’s a good build. Enjoy it, use it, and appreciate where we are on the autonomous journey.
I continue to say that each new major release needs its own fine-tuning to remove annoyances. This is likely a by-product of training a real-world AI model and making it usable. Just like previous versions, vX.0 is transformational, but the .1, .2, and .3 releases make it truly usable with the new technology integrated.
I hope I’m making sense. v14 introduced an amazing amount of new functionality, but it regressed on some things that v13 handled well, like navigation decisions. My Cybertruck still dry-wipes on clear cloudy days as if there’s a camera obstruction. You’d think these would get fixed.

My point is that with each new build, we may need to address small nuisances we notice while driving. The product is improving significantly overall, but when you get this build, keep in perspective what the team must do to make it feel seamless.
The Tesla AI team is doing very hard work and making it look easy. Think of the people doing the work, not the company, when giving feedback.
Tesla did not add any new information to the release notes of FSD v14.2.2.3 (2025.45.8). The release notes of this latest update are the same as the previous FSD v14.2.2 and v14.2.2.2 updates.

Added handling to pull over or yield for emergency vehicles (e.g. police cars, fire trucks, ambulances).
Added navigation and routing into the vision-based neural network for real-time handling of blocked roads and detours.
Added additional speed profile to further customize driving style preference.
Improved handling for static and dynamic gates.
Improved offsetting for road debris (e.g. tires, tree branches, boxes).
Improve handling of several scenarios including: unprotected turns, lane changes, vehicle cut-ins, and school buses.
Improved FSD’s ability to manage system faults and recover smoothly from degraded operation for enhanced reliability.
Added alerting for residue build-up on interior windshield that may impact front camera visibility. If affected, visit Service for cleaning!
