In the 2026 Tesla Spring Update, the on-screen car visualizations of the new Tesla Model Y Juniper and Model 3 Highland have become sharper and more attractive (watch the videos and the comparison with the old renders below).

Tesla has begun rolling out this year’s spring-season software update. The main branch of the Spring Update is 2026.14, which was released to a limited number of users.

After fixing minor bugs and issues in the main branch, Tesla rolled out 2026.14.1 and quickly released another point release version 2026.14.2.

According to software tracking data from TeslaFi.com and Tessie.com, as of this writing, Spring Update versions 2026.14.1 and 2026.14.2 have been rolled out to around 25% of the global Tesla fleet. The 2026 Spring Update is rolling out fast, so it can now be attributed as a wide release.

Improved Car Visualization for Model Y and Model 3

Tesla owners have shared the new crisp and improved renders of the new Model Y and Model 3 after installing the Spring Update. The 3D visualization is rendered in the physical color of the car.

The following video of a Tesla Model 3 visualization in Stealth Grey shows greater detail with a new background environment and improved reflections to enhance the rendering.

Before the 2026 Spring Update, only Model S, X, and the Cybertruck had the same onscreen visualizations.

Before and After Spring Update Comparison

Compared to the old car visualization in park, the new rendering has more attention to detail, better rendering, and smoother 360° view (tap+hold and move).
