There were strong rumors circling the social media sphere about president-elect Donald Trump visiting Boca Chica, Texas today.

He’s going to join SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to watch the sixth launch of Starship (IFT-6) test at Starbase today.

The rumors of Trump coming to watch the Starship Flight 6 test are endorsed by the FAA’s temporary flight restriction notice over Brownsville and Boca Chica, Texas. This restriction has been placed to allow for VIP movement and it most probably is for president-elect Donald Trump.

NOTAM (Notice to AirMen/AirMissions) issued by the FAA for Starship Flight 6 is possibly issued for Donald Trump’s visit to the SpaceX Starbase launch site in Boca Chica, Texas.

The NOTAM issued by the FAA has flight restrictions between 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Central Time (CT). The launch window of Flight 6 Starship test will open on 4:00 PM CT.

The flight restriction timings are just before the launch window to facilitate VIP movement in the area. Donald Trump and Elon Musk might arrive together at the launch site to watch the epic Starship IFT-6 launch and landing-catch test today.

Elon Musk has been accompanying Donald Trump since the election win. Both of these have made public appearances since then like watching the UFC fight at the Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Musk stayed at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence for about a week and attended important meetings for the formation of the next government.

Donald Trump’s presence at Starbase today will give Flight 6 Starship launch even more exciting today. If SpaceX catches Booster 13 on its landing back to the launch tower today like Flight 5, history will repeat itself once again.

SpaceX engineers might be under some extra pressure to perform a perfect landing because of Trump’s presence. The stress of making everything perfect may negatively impact the outcome.

Until now, Trump’s win has been a good omen for Musk’s EV company Tesla (TSLA) which gained its $1 trillion market cap back after about 2 years. Now it’s a test for SpaceX to perform better in Donal Trump’s presence.
