Elon Musk’s electric vehicle automaker Tesla (TSLA) has officially discontinued the Model Y Juniper Launch Series orders in the US & Canada.

Interestingly, there is good news for customers who weren’t ready to pay the higher price for the Launch Series Model Y. Tesla has lowered the price of the new Model Y Juniper by a staggering $11,000.

The Launch Series Model Y started at $59,990, while the non-Launch Series 2026 Model Y now starts at $48,990. However, the Launch Series version included features like the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package, premium paints, premium wheels, White Interior, and a Launch Series badge, etc., in the price.

The non-Launch Series Model Y doesn’t include premium features in its price, but the stock vehicle is still a great deal for the reduced price.

What’s more exciting about the new Model Y Juniper is its eligibility for the full $7,500 Federal EV Tax Credit. If you or your family qualifies for this tax break, you can buy the new Model Y with a design-refreshed look and re-engineered features for as low as $41,490.

Tesla is currently only offering the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant of the Model Y Juniper refresh in the US & Canada. Tesla’s Fremont factory and Giga Texas are currently only producing this specific variant.

In China, Asia, and Europe, Tesla is offering both the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and AWD variants of the new Model Y.

In Europe, Giga Berlin-made Model Ys are available in three different variants, i.e. a base RWD, RWD Long Range, and an AWD Long Range.

Non-Launch Series Model Y Juniper Price in Canada

Due to the tariff conflicts between the US & Canada, Tesla Model Y has lost most of the EV tax exemptions and rebates in Canada.

The new 2026 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD starts at CA$69,990 in Canada. However, after adding CA$2,500 destination charges, $100 Federal Air Conditioner Tax, and miscellaneous charges, the vehicle ends up with a final price of CA$72,623 (may vary by province).
