Tesla (TSLA) has rolled out a new over-the-air software update, version 2026.38.6. Based on data and reports from tracking websites, this new update is now in wide release.
The 2026.38.6 Tesla software update is going out to non-FSD vehicles. The current FSD firmware version is 2026.38.5.11 for both HW4 and HW3 cars.
Tesla has pushed the 2026.38.6 point release to both the North American and European regions simultaneously. However, individual reports on TeslaFi.com suggest the update is going out to more users in Europe than in the US & Canada.
Tesla hasn’t updated the release notes from the previous 2026.38.5 update. Since this is a version ahead of the Halloween Update, eligible cars (minimum AMD Ryzen) will get the Halloween Mode after installing it.
Tesla update 2026.38.6 adds support for the Latvian language (latviešu valoda) for the on-screen user interface (UI). This feature is not listed in the release notes (undocumented).

Tesla has also fixed the daylight saving time (DST) bug with the 2026.38.6 update. Although it was previously fixed in the 2026.38.5.11 update as an unlisted feature, non-FSD users did not get that software update.
As of this writing, Tesla has sent out big waves of the 2026.38.6 update. Teslascope reported that the last wave was sent to ~4,070 new Tesla vehicles globally.
Fleet data on tracking websites is limited because it covers only a portion of Tesla’s global fleet of more than 9 million vehicles.
However, this data, gathered from thousands to hundreds of thousands of participating Tesla owners, is extrapolated to estimate a software rollout expansion or wide-release status.
Tesla has also removed the ‘Beta’ label for the Grok bot interface on Tesla vehicle screens. This confirms that Grok is now fully functional in Teslas and is no longer in beta.
