SpaceX delays Starship’s 7th launch and landing test for the third time in a row. Today’s planned Flight 7 test mission was canceled due to unsuitable weather conditions at Starbase, Texas.
The hopes for a launch today (Wednesday 15th Jan) were high. SpaceX enthusiasts were prepared to experience the excitement as Elon Musk’s astronautics company plans to test the new upgrades and perform a list of new experiments during Flight 7 (IFT-7).
However, SpaceX had to retract its decision as weather conditions didn’t permit operation. SpaceX is now planning to conduct the Starship Flight 7 launch and landing test tomorrow (Thursday 16th January 2025).

It will be interesting to keep a close look at weather conditions at Starbase tomorrow. If the weather is not favorable for tomorrow’s launch window, we might see another delay.
SpaceX has invested time, effort, and finances in a big way for Flight 7. The test will only be conducted if weather conditions permit. To achieved the desired results with this launch.
The most interesting objective is the deployment of dummy Starlink simulator satellites during Flight 7 Starship’s journey in space.
SpaceX will also attempt another landing catch of the Super Heavy booster which was canceled at the last moment in Flight 6 but successfully accomplished in Flight 5 earlier.
