Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk is both surprised and furious at protesters harming his company’s electric cars, showrooms, and office buildings in the United States.
It comes as a surprise to Elon Musk that why the American people are burning and vandalizing cars that are ‘Made in America’ for the American people.
However, the incidents of vandalism and arson against Tesla vehicles are increasing across the United States. We previously reported that a man in Seattle just bought an old Tesla to destroy it to express his sentiments against Elon Musk’s policies at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
In one of the recent attacks on Tesla, multiple cars were put on fire in Las Vegas. Authorities are investigating this event as a possible arson attack. Commenting on the footage of this incident, Musk wrote on X, “They’ve committed serious crimes”.
“Five Tesla cars were damaged in Las Vegas on Tuesday after a person set the vehicles on fire and fired multiple gunshots in a “targeted attack” on a Tesla facility, where the individual also painted the word “RESIST” on the storefront’s windows,” Fox News reported (video below).
Additionally, two Cybertrucks have been reportedly burned down in Kansas. Just last week, two Cybertruck electric pickup trucks were completely burned down by the protesters in Seattle.
During a live conversation on the matter on CNN, Canadian businessman and TV personality Kevin O’Leary said that anyone who burns a car is a criminal and will be punished.
“When you set a car on fire, you should go to jail. You’re a criminal. And I don’t think we have to talk about it in any other context,” O’Leary made it crystal clear leaving no room for debate.
He further stated:
And all those cars have cameras in them, and those dealerships have cameras. You’re beyond being stupid when you do that… You’re going to spend five to 20 years in prison. If they get them on terrorism—which I think is a stretch—there will be no parole, no shortened sentence. They’ll rot in hell in prison for 20 years. And frankly, as far as I’m concerned, that’s okay.
They have committed serious crimes. https://t.co/GLPLT2uWKH

In another X post (tweet), Elon Musk presses that Tesla has done nothing to deserve this treatment, he wrote:
This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong. Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.
The US Attorney General Pam Bondi said on Fox News that the government’s law enforcement arms are going to come after people attacking Tesla cars and dealerships. She also said that the ones funding these acts of domestic violence are also going to face severe consequences.

Last week, at the White House, when President Trump chose a Tesla Model S to buy, he said that he was going to label violence against Tesla as domestic terrorism.
The violent attacks on Tesla dealers, individual car owners, and charging stations are domestic terrorism, exactly as President Trump described it. @elonmusk Derangement Syndrome is on full display and now it’s getting dangerous. pic.twitter.com/V6xnrUwsue
