Tesla offers free American flag colors for its American-made cars from 4th to 14th July

“You Choose: Red, White or Blue” — this was the title of Tesla’s email I received on Friday, 4th of July. In honor of the US Independence Day, Tesla (TSLA) is offering the colors of the American flag as free paint options on its cars.

You can save from $1,500 to $2,500 on these paint options, depending on your choice of vehicle and color. When ordering a Tesla Model Y or Model 3, the discount is directly available in the online order system.

If you place your order before 14th July, the Ultra Red, Deep Blue Metallic, and Pearl White Multi-Coat colors are included in the base price of your Model 3 and Model Y.

To avail this offer for the luxury segment Model S and Model X Tesla EVs, you’ll have to order a vehicle from the automaker’s existing inventory. Tesla has included the following note in both its official email marketing and its website:

*Model S and Model X included only when purchased through inventory and must be model year 2025. Frost Blue Metallic excluded. New vehicles and U.S. only. Subject to availability. The cost of the color upgrade will be removed from the final price prior to delivery.

Tesla Model S and X inventory vehicles offered with free paint options do not include the new Frost Blue Metallic color. The old Deep Blue Metallic color is available on these cars, which also include demo drive vehicles from the Tesla showrooms.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s involvement in politics with President Trump has negatively impacted the electric car company’s sales over the last three quarters. The lower sales of the Model S and X in Q1 and Q2 2025 has grown a large inventory of these vehicles.

Over the last few months, Tesla has made various offers to potential customers in an attempt to clear the inventory. However, political issues and competition from Chinese companies in the EV space have impacted Tesla sales.

The electric automaker’s new marketing strategy in the United States is geared towards creating awareness among the masses that Tesla is an American car company and its vehicles are designed and manufactured in the country.

This new offer is also focused on the Made-in-America narrative. The official Tesla email read as:

Tesla Vehicles Are Made in America
We design, engineer and produce our vehicles in the U.S.

Get a red, white or blue exterior paint color upgrade when you order any new Model 3 or Model Y, or a new 2025 Model S or Model X by July 14, 2025.*

Browse inventory or schedule a demo drive to get started.
