The excitement around the Tesla Cybertruck deliveries is getting intense as we have reached Q4 — the final and decisive round of this year for Tesla (TSLA).

The automaker is moving full steam ahead with Cybertruck development and constantly producing the new Master Candidate final prototypes each day at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas.

Yesterday, during a flyover drone video coverage by Giga Texas local observer Joe Tegtmeyer, a significantly damaged Tesla Cybertruck was seen at the factory. With safety testing tapes and markings all around the Tesla truck, it’s confirmed that this prototype went through a crash safety test.

However, it’s interesting to know that Tesla is able to perform crash safety tests at Giga Texas. Until now, we knew that Tesla had its own crash lab at the Fremont car factory in California. But it seems that the automaker has built another at Giga Texas as well.

This Cyebrtruck prototype has gone through a driver-side frontal crash impact test as visuals suggest in the above images. The left side of the hood, left fender, and front left door have sustained serious damage. The deployed airbags can also be seen in the picture. Wires of the electrical and electronic validation equipment can also be seen protruding from the Tesla truck’s bed.

Tesla released partial footage of a Tesla Cybertruck crash test earlier this year. This short video ends just before the Cybertruck hits the barrier for a frontal crash safety test. Tesla never released the rest of the footage or the results of these tests even after 5 months as of this writing even though the automaker received a ton of flak for this sensational video that ends abruptly.

Tesla also sent Cybertruck prototypes for rollover crash safety tests to a third-party tester last month. Suggesting the automaker is performing in-house and outsourced Cybertruck safety tests simultaneously. It will be interesting to see how it performs in NHTSA safety validation tests.

So, here we are in the final stage of Tesla Cybertruck safety testing and validation. The success of Cybertruck crash safety tests will ensure its timely deliveries even further.

According to information obtained from Tesla employees earlier, the automaker plans to start customer deliveries of the Cybertruck in October.

Talking about Cybertruck deliveries, Tesla has been pumping out Cybertrucks to the Giga Texas parking lot on almost a daily basis since the factory re-opened last week after a 1-month shutdown.

Six Cybertrucks were spotted at Giga Texas yesterday. All of these trucks were covered while parked outside at the factory’s parking lot. These Cybertrucks might later be en route to the Fremont factory or possibly to Tesla showrooms as the delivery dates become closer.
