Tesla Cybertruck devastates Lamborghini Urus in a drag racing challenge (specs comparison, video)

A drag racing challenge between a pickup truck and a luxury SUV seems odd but in the case of the Cybertruck it doesn’t.

One of the world’s most expensive and iconic SUVs, the Lamborghini Urus arrived at Giga Texas just before last month’s Cybertruck Delivery Event. The Lambo finally wants to try its luck against the heaviest Tesla vehicle yet (I know it’s the Tesla Semi but it’s for the commercial segment).

The Cybertruck Tri-Motor Cyberbeast variant weighs 6,799 lbs (3,084 kg /~3 tons) which is around 1,951 lbs (885 kg) heavier than the Urus. The Cybertruck is significantly heavier than a Model S Plaid which weighs 2.5 tons.

Matt Watson from Carwow brought a Lamborghini Urus to Giga Texas for an interesting Cybertruck drag race. This is probably the first-ever Cybertrcuk drag race as well performed by an independent third party.

We all have seen the Cyebrtruck vs. Porsche 911 drag racing battle but it can easily be labeled as biased because Tesla performed it internally.

Lamborghini Urus with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine that holds 650 hp of power and produces 850 Nm of torque. With all this power, the Lambo couldn’t stand a chance against the Tri-Motor 845 hp and 930 Nm Cybertruck (Cyberbeast variant).

Let’s compare the specs of both vehicles that define their dragstrip performance capabilities.

As the specs above suggest, the Lamborghini Urus takes the lead in two areas, top speed and price. We can literally buy two top-trim Cybertrucks plus a few more goodies for the price of one Lamborghini Urus. However, the design and looks can be a topic of discussion, and for that, the comments section is open below.

Teslas with their instant electric acceleration have been ruling the dragstrips around the world. Cybertruck is now going to take the drag racing circuits with a storm — a large triangular electric pickup truck beating sportscars would be fun to watch.

For now, let’s watch the Cybertruck vs. Lamborghini Urus drag racing competition. The launch of a 3 ton Cybertruck in Beast Mode is a thrilling experience.
