Tesla (TSLA) has begun deliveries of its 2025 Model Y codenamed Juniper in the United States. The automaker introduced the initial production batch with a Launch Series badge in North America in January.

The Launch Series Tesla Model Y is on the costlier side but includes premium features like Autopilot Full Self-Driving (FSD), Tow Package, and 20’’ Helix 2.0 Wheels in the price of the vehicle.

Tesla started handing over the new Model Y Juniper electric SUVs to its customers yesterday. The handing over ceremonies took place at the company’s HQ at Giga Texas and the Fremont factory in California.

Tesla shared several photos of the new Model Y car handover to customers on its official X (Twitter) profile. The CEO of the company Elon Musk also re-posted the celebrations on his timeline.

Tesla has made significant upgrades and design improvements to the new Model Y Juniper’s interior and exterior compared to the previous generatio, which is now referred to as legacy.

Tesla’s Chinese Gigafactory in Shanghai alone received more than 100K orders for the new 2025 Model Y in just a couple of weeks after its launch in Asia. With this overwhelming response, the automaker also started production of the vehicle at its Giga Berlin European factory as well.

So far, the new Model Y Juniper has earned good reviews from car enthusiasts and influencers across the globe. Tesla has exponentially improved the acoustics (noise insulation inside the cabin) and front and rear lighting of the vehicle compared to the previous generation.

The price of the new Model Y Juniper Launch Series is $59,990.

The vehicle is eligible for the $7,500 Federal EV Tax Credit. If you or your family qualifies for the federal tax credit, the price of the new Model Y EV SUV would drop to $52,490 as its deducted from the purchase amount directly.

Tesla still has the legacy Model Y on sale in North America. The older generation is still a great value for money electric vehicle with the latest Hardware 4 (HW4/AI4) FSD computer and great features for a reduced price. Combined with a $7,500 Federal Tax Credit, the legacy Tesla Model Y can be bought for as low as $37,490.
